Welcome to the Practice

Being a new patient at Symmes Chiropractic Center is an exciting time. We honor you for making the choice in trusting our office to help you attain your health goals. It is our objective to work with you for the best results in the shortest time, while making sure it is comfortable for you.

We want you informed! Please ask questions. Even having a basic understanding of your health and how to make positive change will be motivating and empowering.

New Chiropractic Patients

  • You will receive paperwork on or prior to your first visit. Although sometimes tedious, it is necessary. The paperwork provides the doctors with vital information to investigate your conditions. Additionally, bring any pertinent health records or testing studies, if available.
  • Please refer to the Forms & Links page if you were asked to download, print and fill out forms prior to your first visit.
  • Your first visit to the office will begin with a review of your paperwork. You will then be seen by one of the doctors for an evaluation (Approximately 30 minutes). The evaluation will consist of gathering as much information about your present conditions, health history, range of motion studies, a spinal/extremity examination, and orthopedic and neurological testing. Depending on the individual situation, if needed, we are equipped to take high frequency x-ray studies.
  • Based on the information gathered, the doctor will develop a working diagnosis and recommendations of treatment. On a patient to patient basis, some treatment might be on the same day. However, if further tests are needed, treatment will begin on your next visit. Throughout the entire process, you will be completely informed on how the treatment will be rendered.
  • On your visit following the evaluation, your treating doctor will review in detail your findings and your diagnosis and treatment recommendations. It is our utmost priority to help you understand what the problem is, if we can help you, how we will treat it, and what are the reasonable goals and expectations of care. You will be presented choices in the goals of your treatment, allowing you to make the best-informed decision on your approach to care.

New Nutritional Consultation Patients

  • You will receive paperwork on or prior to your first visit. Although sometimes tedious, it is necessary. The paperwork provides the doctors with vital information to investigate your conditions. Additionally, bring any pertaining health records or testing studies if you have them available.
  • Please refer to the Forms & Links page if you were asked to download, print and fill out forms prior to your first visit.
  • Your first visit to the office will begin with a review of your paperwork. You will then be seen by one of the doctors for an evaluation (Approximately 20 minutes). The evaluation will consist of gathering as much information about your present conditions, health history, diet overview, medication history, level of exercise and physical activity, and a discussion about your health goals. Depending on your situation, further testing may be needed. In most instances, your specific nutritional recommendations will be reviewed and explained on your next visit.
  • On your visit following the evaluation, your treating doctor will review in detail your findings and your nutritional support recommendations (Approximately 20 minutes). It is our priority to help you understand our recommendations, why this protocol was chosen for you, and what are reasonable goals and expectations with your nutritional supplementation and dietary changes. You will be presented choices allowing you to make the best-informed decision along your path to better health. Ideally, we want the minimum amount of supplementation for maximum results.
  • Based on your decisions, the doctor will review the protocol and usage instructions of each supplement. You will be given a take home sheet outlining your recommended regiment. Ultimately, the success of nutritional programs relies on your active participation in taking supplements in the recommended dosage, for the recommended time and making necessary dietary changes.
